Mad Men was an incredibly successful television show and gripped audiences from start to finish. With plenty of different storylines taking place and lots of details to focus on, the audience picked up on absolutely everything, as they were encouraged to do.

Megan Draper’s Acting Career
As Mad Men comes to an end, Megan Draper makes the decision to fully commit to her acting career. Her attempts at becoming a big star had been varied previously, but this was her decision to make it, leaving Don to pursue this goal.
She meets up with Harry Crane, who hasn’t always had the best intentions in mind, in order to boost her career. That’s the last time we see her and therefore never find out whether or not she actually made it as an actress, and if she used the fact that Harry has always been attracted to her in an advantageous way.
What Happened To Sal?
While he might not have made it past season three of the show, up until that point Salvatore Romano was a major character. The artist played a huge role in the show and his secret was a storyline that could have been played out for longer.
Sal was a big hit with fans and many were sad when he never returned at a later date. Because he never popped up again, even for a cameo, it left many fans wondering what happened to him. Did he finally reveal the truth about his sexuality to his wife, and did he get another job? Sadly, we will never know.
Did Michael Get Better?

Glen Bishop is someone who was in and out of the show, but he was part of the series throughout. The main reason for that was his obsession with Betty, with their relationship being a very strange and, at times, confusing one.
In the end, Glen reveals he is being shipped off to Vietnam, a decision he makes to try and make her proud of him and prove he is a man. But Glen has been known to lie several times throughout the show, so did he actually make it, and did he end up following a similar path to Don Draper’s when he got there?
Does Sally Become Betty?
Sally is one of the most important and interesting characters throughout Mad Men. Starting off as an innocent little girl, she quickly becomes jaded with the world due to the situations she is placed in by both her mother and father, which starts to mold her as an adult.
Even though she’s very young still, the show ends with Sally having to effectively become an adult immediately. Throughout Mad Men, it is teased that she seems to be becoming more like her mother, so when Betty dies, does Sally take her place and become the woman of the house?
Does Peggy Become Don?
While the show foreshadows Sally potentially becoming her mother, it also does the same with Peggy and Don. Don’s fall is seemingly mirrored by Peggy’s rise all the way throughout the series as she continues to grow her influence and skill throughout the series.
She learns to be less naive and more demanding of others around her. She proves that she can be ruthless and has no problems getting exactly what she wants. Down the line, will she end up breaking down the gender barriers to take over an agency?
What Happens To Stephanie?
Another character that people want more clarity on is Stephanie. She helps Don Draper at the end of the series, leaving him alone with the hippies, but what about her? There are many questions about what she does next and none of them are answered.
Don provides a great speech for her as they part, but does she follow up on it? Does she go home, does she track her child down? Nobody knows as she simply rides off. While she’s not someone who was focused on heavily throughout the series, because she plays such a big part in the finale, she instantly gained the fans’ attention.
Does Roger Make It Work?
Roger Sterling is a man desperate to find true love, yet his head is too easily twisted by other women to actually find it. However, at the end of Mad Men, it seems like there is a possibility that he might have found the one, and that he is ready to settle down.
The question fans want to know is whether or not he can sustain the relationship. Everyone knows what Roger is like, with his wandering eye and constant misbehavior, so it would be interesting to know if he could do it this time around.
The Francis Family
One of the most emotional aspects of Mad Men’s end was the fact that Betty Francis passed away. She had been such a key character for the show, and while she wasn’t always the greatest mother, her dying was always going to play a major impact in the Francis family dynamic.
Henry always seemed to care about the children and actively went out of his way to try and be a good role model. However, taking the entire family on singlehandedly was never going to be an easy situation for a stepfather, and the question is what exactly happens to them all after her death.
What Happens To Don?
Mad Men ends with Don Draper heading to a hippie retreat, seemingly hitting the refresh button on his entire life. The show ends leaving a huge question mark over him and his entire life. Nobody knows whether he continues working in advertising if he keeps up with his children or finds a new relationship.
While he might appear to be at peace, people would love to know, for certain, what was next in his life. At the retreat, he comes up with a good advertising slogan, seemingly hinting that he has found his creative juices again, but that tease only leads to more questions rather than answers.
