Married at First Sight’s Jamie Otis revealed the 2020 due date after suffering multiple miscarriages. The reality star is beyond happy to finally be able to announce that she will be adding to her family.

Fans are excited to hear that the couple is expecting their rainbow baby after such a hard year and a half. While the couple’s journey has been far from traditional, they seem to be in a good place. The couple originally met on the first season of Married at First Sight, which aired in 2014. While Jamie was a nurse and former contender of The Bachelor, her husband to be was a salesman who decided to take it slow to woo his future wife. The couple even renewed their vows on their one-year anniversary; solidifying their love was more than just a photo opportunity.

The Married at First Sight alum, Jamie, has announced (via: Us Weekly) that she is expecting baby number two. The reality star and her husband, Doug, have been open about suffering multiple miscarriages in an Instagram post on September 21. The couple captioned their post with a moving title that read, “We heard a heartbeat!” The due date, according to the fertility specialist, will be May 14, 2020. The couple will be making their two-year-old daughter, Henley Grace, a big sister.

Jamie first suffered a miscarriage back in 2016 when she lost her son, who the couple named Jonathan Edward only four months into her pregnancy. Two years later, Jamie and Doug had another miscarriage due to the chemical pregnancy. In January of this year, only ten weeks into another pregnancy, the Bachelor alum miscarried once again. The baby had developed normally until week 10, when the amniotic sac kept developing but the baby didn’t. It was an emotional 18 months for the couple, but they can finally say they are pregnant once again.

The couple is being understandably cautious, not wanting to rock the boat with this current pregnancy. They ended the interview by saying they want to stay optimistic, but at the same time they are fearful something may go wrong. The Married at First Sight alum chose to open up about her struggles with getting pregnant in hopes of helping other women see there is an end to the dark times. Jamie knows that there are many women out there who are struggling with the same issue.
