The first trailer for the long awaited Eternals film should be arriving sooner rather than later. With only 2 big screen offerings this year, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is revving up for its fourth phase, one that promises fresh faces as well as old favorites. Though 2020 offers up a lightened load relative to 2019, there is heavy anticipation nonetheless. Black Widow will arrive in theaters this coming May, and it received a trailer last month. Also The Eternals is set to release in November of this year, leaving many wondering when fans can expect their first glimpse at the film.

At this stage, few specifics are known regarding the movie itself. Set over the course of a few thousand years, The Eternals will introduce Marvel fans to an all-new team of heroes, as well as their respective villains, the Deviants. With a star-studded cast and an experienced director in Chloe Zhao, the film is poised to take the MCU into cosmic corners yet unexplored and offer up a story unlike anything told before. Though the team is not as well known as the Avengers or X-Men, there is still a great amount of intrigue from fans in this film, which of course further drives the desire for a trailer. Thankfully, one doesn’t have to dig very deep in order to theorize about when exactly a trailer could likely hit the internet.

If previous releases are to be of any indication, the first trailer for Eternals should be arriving in only a few short months. As a reference point, back in 2017 Thor: Ragnarok was released on November 3; however, the first trailer for the film was released to the public in April of that calendar year. The aforementioned Eternals film is confirmed to hit theaters on November 6 of 2020 in the United States, so logically speaking, assuming a teaser would be released in April is not far-fetched by any means. Given how risky this property is in the grand scheme, the sooner a trailer is put out into the world, the better.

Of course, this is purely speculation with a bit of wishful thinking for good measure. Surely things could change; there could be unforeseen production issues that push a trailer for Eternals back closer to release, or rather it could pop up sooner in order to satiate the fans desire for some new MCU content and drum up more excitement for the movie. As it stands, this is the safest assumption anyone could really make at this point given how quiet things have been about the movie as a whole. There is a lot of buzz around what 2020 will have in store for the MCU, and hopefully sooner rather than later, it will be revealed where the Eternals themselves fit into it all.
