Fan-made WandaVision title cards mine inspiration from some of the most iconic sitcoms. Set after Avengers: Endgame, the upcoming Marvel Studios’ series for Disney+ reunites Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda and Paul Bettany’s Vision in a show described as the MCU’s take on a sitcom. Its story will also directly connect to Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, with Wanda set to appear in the sequel. Aside from the titular characters,  the show will feature Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as a grown-up Monica Rambeau, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, and Katherine Hahn in an as yet to be disclosed role as well.

Fans have gotten their first look at WandaVision via Marvel Studios’ big Disney+ spot during this year’s Super Bowl which also featured footage from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki. Plot specifics for the upcoming show, which is now set for a December 2020 release instead of early 2021, remain tightly under wraps. However, it’s clear that it’s mining inspiration from popular sitcoms from the last several decades.

Given this, a fan took it to on their hands to create unofficial title cards for WandaVision. Shared on Reddit by user with handle Wico90 is a string of illustrations for the series resembling some iconic ones from I Love Lucy, The Brady Brunch and even Full House. Check them all out below:

The creator paid attention to the official footage released for WandaVision thus far. Since Marvel Studios’ Disney+ spot was a combo trailer, it wasn’t formatted as a traditional trailer, hence, making it more difficult to piece what’s happening for each show. The Olsen/Bettany project was especially trippy since it just jumped from one visual to another without giving any context. What’s clear though is that it tried mimicking a few popular sitcoms from the past  - each representing its own era. Some of those shows were also the inspiration for these fan-made title cards.

Whether or not WandaVision will also mine narrative inspiration from these sitcoms remain a big question. The title is an indication that it will focus largely on their relationship as a couple, which also poses some pressing mysteries since Vision is technically dead. He wasn’t among the heroes brought back by Hulk’s (Mark Ruffalo) snap in Endgame, however, since he’s an android, there’s a chance that someone can simply rebuild him. The problem with that is, his creator Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is also no longer around. One popular theory is that the events of the show could only be taking place in Wanda’s head, which could be part of her grieving process. This could also explain the supposed existence of their twin kids from the comics, Billy and Tommy Maximoff.
