Season 3 of The Masked Singer is on its way in February. Fox released the promo trailer which teases that next season will feature even bigger celebrities. In the clip, they reveal four of the celebrity costumes - the Mouse, the Robot, the Banana, and the Monster.
This who-sung-it singing competition combines mystery, celebrities, and talent. With two seasons under Fox’s belt, The Masked Singer has become a smash hit, as audiences watch as celebrities face off against each other in an epic singing battle, dressed head to toe in elaborate costumes and full face masks to conceal their true identities. This top-secret competition pitted Grammy-winning singers up against pro athletes, actors, comedians, and TV personalities. The first season, the Monster aka T-Pain won first place. In the recently wrapped up season 2, TV host and comedian Wayne Brady took home the prize dressed as the Fox.
Audiences are eager for another season of The Masked Singer, thankfully the preperation for next season is well underway as Fox just released the trailer for season 3 that is set to premiere in 2020 after Super Bowl LIV. The trailer teased that there will be a variety of celebrities, as host Nick Cannon delivers costumes to the secret stars. He begins by delivering a giant crate to a Beverly Hills, California mansion, the sides of the crate drop, revealing a tall and skinny ballerina mouse costume. Only the feet of the celeb he delivered the costume to is shown, the only clues are the person’s Ugg boots and a white chihuahua dog that is wearing a pink tutu. Fans have already begun speculating that this could be either reality TV star and deejay Paris Hilton or makeup artist and YouTube personality Jeffree Star. Watch the full teaser clip below:
Next, Cannon delivers another crate, this time to a man wearing cowboy boots and a cowboy hat, this person’s costume is revealed to be a blue toy-robot. After that, the host is seen backstage of a show, where it’s revealed that there will be some star wearing a giant smiling banana costume. Next, there is a football field with a crate in the center of it that remains closed, hinting that there will be an NFL player next season. Finally, there is a shot of a woman laying on a balcony of an extravagant home where she’s seen sipping a cocktail overlooking a view of the ocean. Cannon delivers a crate to her, which reveals a fluffy pink one-eyed monster with what appears to be polka-dot yellow fake nails for claws. When the host sees who the celeb will be, he says, “You’ve got to be kidding me. Season 3 is about to be lit!”
Season 3 looks like it will have the biggest stars and some of the most extravagant costumes yet. It looks as though this popular show will just continue to snowball and become more and more popular with celebrities and audiences alike. Fans are already trying to use the early clues to find out who the celebs are and the season hasn’t even started.
