As we get one step closer to the finale of The Masked Singer, week 8 gave fans a major reveal and a handful of new clue packets. Are there any more surprises left?

Week 8 brought viewers guest judge, former Community star Joel McHale, as well two new head-to-head battles. Fans saw Flamingo battle and ultimately defeat Leopard, leaving the glamorous feline at risk of being unveiled. After an unsuccessful battle with Rottweiler, Flower also found herself in danger as she headed into the final battle for her anonymity against Leopard. With both believed by fans to be seasoned professional singers, there was no loss here that wasn’t going to upset some fans. In the end, the Leopard managed to defeat Flower. The identity of the Flower came as no surprise, though, as fans and judges alike recognized the voice of the music legend from day one. The Flower was confirmed to be none other than 75-year-old award-winning singer Patti LaBelle. Fans will miss getting to watch the icon perform each week, but they were not fooled. The streak remains with yet another correct prediction as seen in the previous articles in this series. With the three remaining performers still masked, fans took to social media immediately with guesses based on the new clue packages, but were there any changes?

FLAMINGO

Best Guess: Adrienne Bailon

New clues included her mentioning her chateau and then a photo of the Eiffel Tower, which still points directly at Bailon, who once gave a tour of her Paris-inspired home on her YouTube channel, which she referred to as Chateau Houghton. Another line in Spanish would still fit the bilingual beauty. The former Cheetah Girl, and potentially second group member this season, has been described well by the past clues, including saying she’d wanted to be a doctor when she was younger. This fits perfectly with Bailon, who attended a high school geared at health professions and once said she wanted to be an obstetrician. Judge Jenny McCarthy, who seems to be as sure as fans are, remained firm in her guess that Flamingo is Bailon.

LEOPARD

Best Guess: Seal

Revealing clues continue to point to Seal. The catwalk comments make sense as he performed on the runway at a Victoria’s Secret show. The Australian flag may have been an attempt to divert attention from the British born singer, but he was also a coach on The Voice Australia. Clearly, judge Nicole Scherzinger agrees, as she threw out the guess of Seal this week, making fans cheer everywhere as he definitely remains the strongest internet choice. Viewers are sure they recognize Seal in Leopard’s voice. Coincidentally, a leopard seal is an actual type of seal. The British accent and implied adoption/foster care, references about relationships, and newspaper titles all line up as well. But in the end, it comes down to the voice.

ROTTWEILER

Best Guess: Chris Daughtry

The clue packet showed Rottweiler wearing gloves that said “boxing day.” American Idol’s Chris Daughtry just happens to have been born on Boxing Day (December 26). There was also a platinum word ring, likely referencing his platinum records - four awards to represent his four American Music Award wins - and the mention of being zen fits the vegan singer’s lifestyle. Past clues include Carolina (his home state), Lil Pete (his dad’s nickname is Pete), and references to musical theatre, as well as his heroes being Boyz II Men. It is pretty clear that the singing canine is Daughtry, so the only question that remains is whether he win it all.
