Mangroves – trees and shrubs that grow in coastal waters – absorb ten times as much carbon as land-based trees, which is why Apple announced last year that it was investing in a mangrove restoration project in Colombia. The company has marked Earth Day by reporting back on the environmental project. Sony has re-scheduled its Masters of the Universe movie for an early 2021 release date. Kurt Sutter steps down as the Mayans M.C. co-showrunner. Known for creating the popular FX series Sons of Anarchy, the American writer-producer also portrayed the character Otto Delaney during its seven-season run. Sutter co-created Mayans M.C. - a Sons of Anarchy spinoff - with Elgin James. Shot on location and both sides of the United States-Mexico border, Mayans M.C. follows a motorcycle club that plays a pivotal role in Sons of Anarchy....

Tim Cook isn’t the only Apple executive supporting his college. Apple’s marketing chief Phil Schiller and his wife made a $10 million donation to Bowdoin College in Maine where their two sons attended, and in return the school is naming its coastal studies center in their honor. The school says the donation will be used to create “a state-of-the-art dry laboratory connected to the Center’s existing marine laboratory” and “serve as a facility for retreats, dialogue, and collaboration among local and national leaders working to address critical issues of coastal and climate concern....
