With an array of characters that deliver just about anything and everything each week, it is a show that you certainly don’t want to miss out on. The show is full of constant family drama, cliffhangers and jaw-dropping moments that are suitable for just about anyone and everyone. With such a diverse and broad use of characters throughout the show, there are definitely numerous personalities, many of which clash during each episode....

Based on internal code that is shared between recent iOS 14.4 beta versions and macOS Big Sur 11.2, Apple is implementing a new system that will block some iOS apps from running on the Mac. This, of course, will not affect the apps available on the Mac App Store. Instead, this should prevent users from installing iOS apps that the developer has chosen not to offer on the Mac App Store for M1 Macs....

If you have a Windows 8 dual boot system, it comes with a new boot manager. Unlike the the boot screens of old, this one is designed to work with touch screens and has several new options. But, you might not like it. Or it might feel slower than the old one than the one you’re used to in previous versions of Windows. A cryptocurrency botnet is continuing to spread amongst unprotected machines – and the software has even spread by hiding in innocent looking files such as images of Taylor Swift. Once a system is infected, a percentage of its CPU resources are then dedicated to mining the privacy cryptocurrency known as Monero. Unlike other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Monero mining can only be done with a CPU. And while each victim machine may only generate a few pennies worth of the cryptocurrency each day, the entire botnet itself is estimated to have earned its creators over $3 million since 2016....

The maximum daily amount is set to £28.10, but the maximum daily cap on travelcards would normally kick in before then anyway (unless you keep going back and forth on that cable-car)....

Marvel Studios reveals The Falcon and the Winter Soldier TV show first look images at Comic Con Experience in Sãu Paulo, Brazil this weekend. At San Diego Comic-Con this summer, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige confirmed part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4 slate, which includes both movies and television series. Feige confirmed a number of Disney+ Marvel TV shows and their release windows, including Loki, WandaVision, Hawkeye, the What If animated series and the team-up of Steve Rogers’ (Chris Evans) two closest friends in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier....

Jonathan Hickman, mastermind of the X-Men relaunch, has just provided an important clue to understanding Charles Xavier’s current portrayal. The X-Men franchise had been struggling for years, but in July last year superstar comic book writer Jonathan Hickman began a high-profile relaunch of the entire franchise. At the heart of this relaunch was Charles Francis Xavier, who appeared to have moved on from the traditional interpretation of Xavier’s Dream in favor of a new vision....

In a move seemingly intended to keep physical payment cards relevant in the age of Apple Pay, Mastercard has been running pilot trials of credit and debit cards with an embedded fingerprint reader. The company says that the cards require no power, and are no thicker than standard cards … Mastercard told CNET that the cards draw power from existing terminals, which do not require any hardware or software modifications to use the technology....

Expanding its suite of outstanding photo editing apps, Macphun today announced Aurora HDR, a powerful but easy-to-use tool for creating High Dynamic Range images. Co-developed by leading HDR photographer Trey Ratcliff, Aurora HDR automatically combines several exposures of the same image, bringing out bright colors and shadow detail that are lost by a single exposure. Unlike typical HDR compositing, which yields a finished image that’s hard to meaningfully edit, Aurora HDR includes nearly 40 one-click presets to change the look of the image, including Signature Pro presets developed by Ratcliff....

While all hope may be lost for one day seeing The MCU’s Avengers team up with Netflix’s Defenders, Marvel will still be giving fans a chance to see the two groups come together in the upcoming epic Avengers:Defenders/ Tarot in the new year. Written by Alan Davis with art by Paul Renaud, those fans hoping the Defenders name means appearance from Daredevil or Luke Cage alongside Captain America will have to keep on wishing....

The attackers used a malware to infect the POS system in the stores and capture credit/debit card data used by customers for Christmas purchases. Which malware was used? Who is behind the attacks, and what is the extent of the data breaches? These are the principal questions made by customers to the IT security community. The US retailer Target announced a few weeks ago that the extent of the credit card leak was even bigger than what was estimated just after the discovery of the data breach; 70 million customers are victims of the data breach, which exposed customers’ data, including names, mailing addresses, phone number and email addresses....

Netflix’s Maniac season 2 probably won’t happen, because it was never supposed to. Maniac premiered on Netflix in September 2018 and was helmed by True Detective season 1 director Cary Fukunaga, who always envisioned Maniac as a one-and-done limited series. Starring Oscar winners Jonah Hill and Emma Stone, Maniac season 1 tells the story of two strangers - Owen and Annie, respectively - who participate in a pharmaceutical experiment. Over 10 episodes, viewers learn about Owen and Annie’s hopes and fears, as well as what led them to seek out drugs in the first place....

Mark Cuban is planning to enter the podcasting industry as soon as this year. According to a new report from the Verge, Cuban is planning to launch a new podcast app that allows hosts to “talk to fans live and monetize their conversations.” The report explains that Cuban will work alongside Falon Fatemi on the startup. Fatemi previously cofounded and sold the AI customer relations service Node. Fatemi declined to comment to the Verge, but Cuban confirmed that he is a cofounder....

Even though it’s known as “black and white photography,” balanced grays are what make monochrome images striking or flat. Today, MacPhun released Tonality 1.2 ($18) and Tonality Pro 1.2 ($70), tools designed specifically for making the best possible black and white images from color photos. Both versions work with popular photo library management tools, newly including the Mac version of Apple Photos. The Pro version now plugs into Adobe’s new Lightroom CC, and adds RAW support for both new cameras and Lightroom....
