The Deviants are the villains in Marvel’s Eternals, but which ones will appear in the 2020 movie? In Marvel Comics, the Deviants are a subterranean race of deformed, hideous creatures and the ancestral enemies of the Eternals. The Deviants have been the primary opponents of the Eternals since Jack Kirby’s 1976-1978 Eternals comic book series. With such a long history in the comics, there are several villains who may appear in the upcoming Phase 4 MCU film....

With the release of iOS 14 last year, Apple introduced new privacy features on the iPhone and iPad to make it easier to know when an app has recently accessed the camera or microphone. Apple is now expanding this to the Mac with MacOS Monterey, which is available now in developer beta. Apple says that in Control Center with macOS Monterey, you can see a list of applications that have recently accessed the microphone....

The bank announced on Monday that customers can now apply for a transaction and savings account, have their identity fully verified, and be able to have their debit card instantly loaded on a customer’s Apple or Google wallet in under a minute. “Many banks still require customers to visit a branch or wait days for the physical card to arrive in the mail. We have reimagined the account opening experience to be almost instantaneous while still delivering all of the same comprehensive security and identity checks,” Macquarie Bank deposit and payments head Olivia McArdle said....

It looks as though Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is pivoting away from the horror genre - and that’s a bad mistake on Marvel’s part. Director Scott Derrickson is stepping down from Doctor Strange 2. Derrickson is remaining as an executive producer on the film, and he and Marvel seem to be on amicable terms; the only explanation they’re giving is that this was due to “creative differences.”...

The Matrix concept artists Geofrey Darrow and Steve Skroce are returning for Matrix 4, with John Toll serving as cinematographer. For the past two years, there’ve been rumors about Warner Bros. continuing The Matrix franchise in some fashion, whether it be with an “expansion” written by Zak Penn (Ready Player One) or a reboot starring Michael B. Jordan. More recently, John Wick trilogy director (and Matrix trilogy stunt coordinator) Chad Stahelski revealed The Matrix creators Lana and Lilly Wachowski were working on a new movie, before walking back his claim....

The second release candidate version of macOS Big Sur 11.2 is now available to developers and public beta users. This comes after Apple released the first macOS Big Sur 11.2 RC build last week. The update brings M1 Mac improvements, Bluetooth fixes, and more. As a reminder, Apple has moved away from the previously-used golden master naming for near-final beta releases. Instead, going forward, the company will use the term “Release Candidate,” or RC, to reference a near-final beta release....

With the release of macOS Monterey this year, Apple will make it easier to restore your Mac. In the System Preferences application, there is a new “erase all contents and settings” option, similar to what has been on iOS for years, that makes it dramatically easier to return your Mac to factory settings. In the past, you’ve generally had to erase your Mac completely, then reinstall macOS in order to restore it to factory settings....

With Magic: The Gathering’s World Championship event swiftly approaching, MTG Arena announced today that the digital platform will be getting in on the festivities by running a Worlds XXVI Showcase event that will allow players to pick a constructed deck from one of the competitors at this year’s tournament and play it online. MTG Arena being closely tied to Worlds XXVI is nothing new - the platform made waves earlier for being selected as the only way the event will be played, earning the ire of some tabletop fans who felt it would have been better to split the tournament across both mediums....

The internet took to analyzing the clues one last time with some final guesses as to the identities of The Masked Singer’s three finalists. This week had a double reveal and the last clue packets before next week’s 2-hour finale. Insatiable is a Netflix series that is based on the 2014 New York Times article “The Pageant King of Alabama”. It stars Debby Ryan as Patty Bladell, a teenager who was bullied for being overweight, who goes on a liquid diet due to a freak accident and who then loses weight and enters beauty pageants, thanks to a disgraced civil lawyer and obsessed beauty pageant coach named Bob Armstrong. Bob and Patty are very entertaining characters, but there are many more on this show, too!...
