Apple has announced that its upcoming macOS Mojave release for Macs will officially be the last to support 32-bit apps. The company made the announcement after unveiling macOS Mojave at WWDC earlier this week, sharing the news on 32-bit apps with developers following the keynote event. Apple first introduced support for 64-bit apps way back in 2007 with the release of OS X Leopard, and last year’s macOS High Sierra release was the last to support 32-bit apps “without compromise”, according to Apple....

Maps+ is a universal app for your iPhone and iPad that combines common mapping features, courtesy of the Google Maps back-end, with advanced location and tracking capabilities usually found in standalone GPS tracking apps. The battle between intelligent voice assistants is moving into hotel rooms, as Marriott International is testing both Siri and Alexa to decide which will control devices in at least some of its hotel rooms. Bloomberg reports that the chain is putting the two platforms in a head-to-head test in its one of its Aloft-branded properties … The company said it has already identified that Siri and Alexa were the only two intelligent voice services worth trialling....
